Vladimir Stojkovic has signed a three-year contract with Partizan Belgrade after joining them on loan from Sporting Portugal last August, the goalkeeper Serbia said.
"This is what I wanted, my ambition was to sign a long-term contract with Partizan after arriving here Sporting" Stojkovic press Belgrade said on Saturday.
"I'm looking forward to the second half of the season and our attempt to keep the Serbian league and Cup," he added.
Partizan, who won a championship record three successive titles, are five points ahead of rivals Red Star winter break in December-February.
Stojkovic, a former player of the Red Star, failed to make an impact in any of foreign clubs that played to after leaving the winners of the European Cup in 1991 in 2006.
But he has been in good shape for Partizan and helped reach the group stage this season Champions League for the first time since 2003.
Partizan lost all six games but Stojkovic was confident that could improve next season.
"We want to go a step further in the next season, elite competition in Europe if we qualify, it is time for the next level and the current crop of players have it in them," he said.
